The villa houses a permanent exhibition of painter Elisabeth Mladenov’s works, which comprises both floors and presents a wide selection of works from the artist’s production over the past 10 years.
Elisabeth Mladenov is a contemporary Finnish painter known for nuanced, layered compositions that interpret the vitality of the natural world through a deeply embodied process. Born in Helsinki and educated with an MA from Aalto University, Mladenov has lived and worked internationally across Berlin, Houston, and Lisbon. She has developed an improvisational approach to oil and mixed media that mirrors both the quiet and the storms; the growth, decay, transformation and renewal inherent in nature.
